YAY I stamped

I actually stamped this week. I made 2 cards. I'm going to spread out the love though, so I'm only uploading one today. I call this one Elephant Fun. I created it for the GinaK Stamp TV crayon resist challenge. I kind of like this little guy.
I used Barely Banana and Soft Suede card stock. I also used some of the Tall Tales DP. The technique is crayon resist, but you can't see it very well. I think this will make a nice boy's birthday card. YAY! a BOY CARD!

A card

YAY, Just found out boss is letting me leave work a little early. I am soooo looking forward to tomorrow. I get to meet some friends at Archivers and then have a nice long lunch and visit. YEAH!!!!!!!! I said yesterday that I would try to keep this as a non-Valentine blog until next February.. so I'm posting a card that some have probably seen as it has been posted a couple of places... but just in case here it is. I call it Dreamy Birthday.

Well, It's been a long while

Some of my "friends" ;-) have mentioned the fact that it is still Valentine's day on my blog. So, I figure I will try to reasonably keep up and see where that get's me. It's been a busy few months and I have just really started stamping again. Still I think I've only stamped 4 or 5 cards in the last month. Got to get back on the wagon. Not producing anything, somehow hasn't kept me from buying stuff or stocking up on supplies. Go figure.

Hey, did y'all know that today is the first day of the new SU catty? They are also doing a "Deal of the Week" for the month of July. Definitely should check that out!

More later and I might even post a card, though it will probably be one posted already somewhere else. If anyone can find energy to spare that they can send me, or even stamping mojo, that would be appreciated :-)

Valentine

A friend of mine is collecting Valentine's Day cards for a Childrens Hospital. They will be given cards so that they can hand them out. These are the two designs I came up with. I am sending 10 of each.. They are verrrrrrrryyyyy simple.

I used the hearts CB embossing folder and two ADORABLE Penny Black stamps, Via Post and Tender Hearts. The images were all colored with my Stampin' Up markers. I'm not thoroughly happy with the bright pink color... but worked with what I had handy at the time. I sure do hope the kids enjoy them.

Another Frame

This is another altered frame from Michaels. I covered it with Bayou Blue DSP from SU. The edge of the frame is covered with some yummy ribbon from Pinkhedgehog. I used Rhinstones from Limelight to add a little bling. The Irish blessing is one of my favorites. I stamped it in black on the glossy white paper which was treated with a polished stone or polished marble technique.

Thanks for visiting.

Exchange Altered Items

I'm participating in a couple of exchanges on SCS. One is a cupid exchange and one is a Mardi Gras exchange. I've been working on some altered items that might get sent to the people whose names I have...

This is one of them. I picked up an unfinished frame at Michaels. I covered the frame with some gorgeous (in my opinion anyway) paper by Basic Grey, which I purchased from Limelight papercrafts. I believe that this is from the Sultry collection. I used Mod Podge on the top to protect the paper a bit. I added PTI Sweet Blush ribbon around the edge of the frame and some ribbon from Pink Hedgehog Papercrafts along the inside piece. Then I just picked a quote I liked and put in place of a picture. I hope that the recipient will like it, IF they get it :-) Thanks for looking.

Been a while, AGAIN!

Hi,
It's been awhile again. I keep saying that I'll stay on top of this one of these days and I keep meaning too.. Oiy as Stuffy would say. I was fortunate enough to have some time to participate in WRAK New Year's challenges. All the cards collected are being sent to the troops overseas. I was also lucky enough to be one of the challenge hostesses. That was a lot of fun for me. I chose my challenge to be a sketch challenge, with the additional difficulty of not using any flowers. This was to be a birthday card made for a wife. Below is my sample card. I chose a sketch that was created by Katharina Frei, the most awesome owner of Whiff of Joy stamps. She was kind enough to allow its use.

I love this sketch and foresee myself using it quite a bit! The square card shape is really growing on me.

I had so much fun with this card and this challenge.

Recipe
Stamps: Winobella, Warmest Regards
Paper: PT White, PT Sweet Blush, Basic Grey DP
Ink: Adirondack Black
Accessories: Nesties, Copics, White Embossing Powder, D'vine Swirl CB EF, pearls, Scallop Edge Punch, 1/16 punch, Gold Cord, Wide Oval Punch, Clear Stardust gel pen, dimensionals

Thanks for visiting and PLEASE make note of the banner on the right. There is a special kit of Elisabeth Bell images that is available from Whiff of Joy for a short time! Elisabeth is a phenomenal artist and I am sure that whatever stamps are in the kit will be TREMENDOUS!!!
