Christmas Limelight Sketch Challenge
HAPPY FRIDAY!!
I was lucky enough to get off work 2 hours early yesterday. Whew! It's been a long week. I took my extra hour to participate in my first ever Limelight Sketch Challenge. My friend Jen is on the design team and always fills me in when there is a new challenge, but this is the first time I've actually participated. Thanks CBC Enabler ;-)
Recipe:
Stamps: Trinity Trio (Unity Stamps)
Paper: Wassail (Basic Grey), Very Vanilla, Ripe Avocado (PaperTreyInk)
Ink: Ruby Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Gold Spica Pen, Red Spica Pen, Prima Poinsettias, Gold Ribbon, dimensionals
This was a sketch challenge with a product challenge of patterned paper. Luckily, my latest Limelight order was waiting for me at home and had some yummy paper in it! The trees and the layer they are on are popped up on dimensionals. I'm kind of bummed about the trees. I was trying to bring in more red, but may have suceeded in making a mess more than making the trees pop. :-)
Anyway... Thanks for looking!

A Non-Christmas Card and SC207
Whew, I just had to make something that wasn't Christmas related... A good friend of mine shared some Lil Lovin's Rubbernecker images with me. I just love this little girl playing dress up! I also used 2 items that I received through WRAK. Once I had the little girl colored, I noticed that this ribbon from WRAK was PERFECT! Ric-rac is just so girly and the pink and orange are great! Then, to make sure it was a birthday card, I added the CB Embossing Folder layer which I also got through WRAK.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Lil' Lovins
Paper: Going Gray, brushed silver, Pink Pirouette, Off-White
Ink: Black
Accessories: CB Happy Birthday EF, Ric-Rac Ribbon, Copics, Sakura Stardust Gel Pen, Metallic Rub-on paste, Spica Red Glitter pen, dimensionals
I've been a long time reader of The Paper Landscaper . Denise layers on the inside of her cards as well. I figured it was about time for me to try it as well!
I just layered a piece of brushed silver on the inside and then used a corner punch on the Pink Pirouette. I think it turned out nice and girly :-)
Thanks for visiting!!

Yet another Christmas Card
At least for this one, I mass produced the images. All I need to do is get the cards put together, into envelopes, addressed, and mailed.... At this rate, I'll get enough made for family only. I've got to start earlier next year. Anyway, this concept was borrowed from Gina K but simplified for me. Gina's is gorgeous but had a few more layers than I really wanted to cut (yes, I'm lazy at this point) :-)
Recipe:
Stamps: Magic of Christmas (GinaK)
Paper: PTI White, SU Brushed Copper
Ink: Versamark, Vintage Sepia
Accessories: Gold Cord, Copper Embossing Powder, Circle and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities
Oh yeah... I used my new Ott light to take the picture. I like it.... Now I just need to work on the operation of the camera ;-) So obviously, I heat embossed the ornaments on white cardstock. I rather like the outcome. It's a simple card, but it is elegant AND it won't require me to send it first class parcel through the mail. That is going to save me about .60/card! YIPPPEEEEEEEEEE!!! Thanks for looking!

Christmas is just around the corner
As I mentioned, I have actually been able to get a little, very little, crafting done. This is the bookmark that I am making for the staff at DD's "school"(daycare). I learned how to make these at my upline's house a month or so ago and thought they were just waaayyyy cute!
Recipe:
Stamps: N/A
Paper: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Pacific Blue
Accessories: Chipboard, Pacific Blue ribbon, filigree brads, snowflake punch
This is a double treat because its an SU only project as well! I used chipboard at the top and inked it up with Pacific Blue. Then I added the whisper white square to the chipboard. I punched the snowflake out of Riding Hood Red and attached the filigree and brad. The ribbon is attached to the back on the whisper white and then covered by another piece of whisper white... I hope that makes sense. If it doesn't and you really want to know, let me know and I can take pics that explain better :-)
I also made some of my Christmas cards for this year. I used a beautiful Kinkade stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. I cased the card from SCS.
Recipe:
Stamps: The Night Before Christmas (CHF)
Paper: Basic Gray, Brushed Silver, Night of Navy, white
Ink: Versafine Smokey Gray
