Oh Baby, Sweet Baby

I REALLY love girly girl things, however the recipient of this card is not so much a girly girl. She is having a baby girl and I've been trying to convince her that she needs to get used to pink. This is my attempt to make a baby card for a girl that isn't too girly.... *sigh* --- Lot's of lace and glitter would have been fun ;-)

Thanks Stacy for the quilt images and the ones to paper piece! Love them!!!!

The MayArts ribbon is from Limelight Paper crafts.

3*3 cards for teachers

OK, so at least it isn't a whole year again :-) I've submitted the following 3*3 cards to my panel of experts for their opinions, but figured I would share them here as well. The plan is to include these cards in the purses from the post below for teacher appreciation week. Depending on the experts opinions, these may change a bit. We'll see :-)

All the cards use Gina K stamps. They are either from the Spring has Sprung set by Rupa Shvede or from the Spring Mix kit.

The flowers on the watercolory looking one were colored with Copic markers straight on the rubber. Then I dabbed the stamp with some rubbing alcohol and stamped. I used the bow easy for the double loop bow, but think I will go back and make that bow a little bigger. The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Kioshi pack, which is my absolute FAVE right now... as if you couldn't tell. LOL Thanks for visiting!

Teacher Appreciation

Well, at least it hasn't been a whole year yet. I know I'm a horrible blogger. Again, I'm going to try to do better, but life just gets in the way. I'm working on the teacher appreciation gifts for my kids' teachers. I found this ADORABLE idea on the Chic n' Scratch blog.

Supplies
Circle Cutter
Oval Punch
Kioshi Basic Grey DP
Bazzil cardstock
Prima type flower
Ribbon
Pearls

I opted for a prima type flower with a ribbon center instead of the paper flower that Angie used. I'm planning on adding the teacher's name to the strip of cardstock. Inside I'm going to make some simple 3*3 cards and will add some candy of some kind. Hopefully, they will enjoy these little gifts. Since I don't come up with all these ideas myself, I'll tell you where I found the ribbon flower (Thanks Janice). If you will take a look here you will see the tutorial for the roses. Obviously I still need a little practice, but they really are easy.

Thanks for sticking with my non-blogging.. hopefully I will get a bit better at this.
