Tough times

I don't know about you, but I have a rough time finding the appropriate things to say sometimes. I like this sentiment for those types of occassions.

For this card I used the sketch from Just Us Girls. I used some metallic paper by Spellbinders. The stamp set is by PTI. I also took the opportunity to use the Fancy Tags by Spellbinders as well. I want to thank the JUGs challenge team for helping me practice my CAS cards as well. :-)

Recipe:
Stamps: Up in the Air
Paper: Pure Luxury Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Ivory, Spellbinders Metallic paper
Ink: Memento Desert Sand, Cottage Ivy
Accessories: Nestabilities,Fancy Tags

An herbal get well

I don't know about you, but I never seem to have any get well cards when I need them. As I am in my sketch mode, I downloaded all the MojoMonday sketches to date. I chose to use this one... I think it is 149, but I'll have to double check. It looked like a really fun one! I also got to use some blingy paper, which I LOVE.

The stamps and the cardstock are from PaperteryInk, with the exception of the designer paper. The herbal tea tag is popped up with dimensionals. This is the type of card that would probably look great with a charm... but alas.. I havent gotten into that yet.

Recipe:
Stamps: Tea for Two
Paper: Scarlet Jewel, Lavendar Moon, Ivory, BoBunny designer paper
Ink: Memento Lulu Lavendar and Bamboo Leaves
Accessories: SU punches

PaperTrey Balloons

I decided to delve into my PaperTrey Ink stash today. I love that they have dies to match their sets. I also love that they are clear acrylic stamps but that they stamp so well! Normally I prefer rubber. When I saw this set in a recent release, I just had to have it! I used the dies to cut out the hot air balloons. I suggest die cutting and then stamping.. I find it easier than trying to match up your image to the die. I will admit, my sun needs a bit of work, but I was pretty excited about the way the "scene" played out.

Recipe:
Stamps: Up, Up and Away (PTI)
Paper: Ocean Tides, Melon Berry, and White (PTI); DCWV pattern paper
Ink: Vivid Aqua, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Nailheads, Copics, Corner rounder punch

Duckies everywhere!

A friend of mine is expecting a baby in a couple of weeks. Since I needed to make a card, I decided to see what the DTGD challenges could do to "help" me. I managed to cover 7 challenges in one card. WHEW! It could possibly be construed as cheating, but I decided that since I don't have that much time to create anymore I should try to get some bang for the buck :-). This is what I came up with.

I used a sketch that called for an oval for the image. I did change that to a circle because I felt the circle was better for this image. I used Shapeabilities to die cut the ducks. I used white felt from Papertrey Ink. Then I colored it with my copics.

Recipe:
Stamps: Spring has Sprung (GKD)
Paper: Little Boy Blue, Lemon Drop, Green Grass, White (GKD); Paper Studio DP
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Velvet ribbon, Felt (PTI), Nesties Circles and large scallop circles, Copics, Dimensionals, Silver Spica, Shapeabilities

True CAS

I consider this card truly CAS! The base of the card is white. The layer is a piece of DP from a Safari Matstack. The ONLY stamping on this card is the sentiment in the top right corner. How much quicker and easier can it get. I also think this is just a good all purpose card, masculine, feminine, and it could be for any occassion depending on the sentiment you use!

Recipe
Stamps: PTI Up Up and Away (sentiment only)
Paper: Safari Mat Stack, PTI white
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
