CHF - Kinkade

I am so sad that Cornish Heritage Farms is going out of business. I'm glad that I was able to collect so many of the Thomas Kinkade and Sandra Kuck stamps though. In honor of CHF, I thought I would post some of the cards that I have made with the Kinkade and Kuck stamps. Some of these are quite old, but I haven't posted them here.

This image is called Hometown Pride. I KNEW I had to have it as soon as it was released. The flag is popped up on dimesionals to add just a little more pop to the image.

Recipe
Stamps: Hometown Pride, Land of The Free
Paper: Blush Blossom, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, White, Very Vanilla
Ink: Adirondack Espresso
Accessories: Many Marvelous Markers, Copic Markers, HPH, White Gel Pen, Dimensionals

Ice Cream, we all scream for Ice Cream

It is a hot summer.. I have been craving ice cream(specifically reeses peanut butter cup blizzards from Dairy Queen). I found this super cute DP at Archivers. It just screams summer. I made two of the same card and just changed the sentiment a bit. Another hit for my GinaK stamp collection ;-)

One Layer... really

This card is my attempt at trying to trick the eye. Admittedly, this concept needs some work, but I still think that this could work.

I used Neapolitan ice cream as my inspiration for the colors. I just purchased the really cool velvet ric rac and just felt I had to use it. I tried to "fake" the nestability layer by placing two of the scalloped oval nesties on the card stock and coloring in between. As I said, it needs more work, but I think the concept is there. Again, I used a Gina K stamp set for this image and sentiment.

Recipe
Stamps: GKD Spring Mix
Paper: GKD Ivory
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Memento Rose Bud
Accessories: Ric-Rac velvet ribbon, Nestabilities, Sakura Stardust Pen, Copics

Cherry Birthday

Birthday and Christmas cards are the ones I make the most, probably like most people. This was a GinaK sketch challenge. I used Rupa's 100% Sweet stamp set. I think that is a cool set.. full of so many desserts! I just love sugar! I chose black because Black, Red and White is just one of my favorite color combos. I used a red spica pen for some bling and used the fabulous DP from SU. The DP worked perfectly for this image in my opinion. I also used the single cherry stamp to make my own little DP panel and I used the Sakura stardust pen on those cherry's.

Recipe
Stamps: 100% Sweet (Gina K)
Paper: Black sparkly (paper temptress), Pure Poppy (PTI), Whisper White, White, SU Specialty DP
Ink: Adirondack PItch Black, Real Red
Accessories: Dew Drops (Fire), Copics (E47, E49, R46), Copic Spica Red, Sakura Stardust Clear

Love on the beach

I really like the way this simple card turned out. It doesn't take long at all and I love the sentiment. While it may be a little difficult to see, the image is stamped in the lower right. It is a girl and boy on the beach. This would be great as an anniversary card. Hmmmm, wonder if I can keep track of it until October :-)

Stamps: Inkadinakado; Gina K (sentiment)
Paper: GKD Ivory, Chocolate, Tan
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Memento Desert

Mmmmmmmmm Wine and cheese

A commissioned birthday card. The recipient tends to like the "finer things in life". I thought, what better than wine and cheese to demonstrate that. This is just a fun stamp that I bought recently. When I think wine and cheese, I also think rich and bold, so I chose some rich colors. I really like the way it turned out.

Recipe
Stamps: Inkadinakado wine scene, WOJ sentiment
Paper: GinaK Pure Luxury - Spruce, Cranberry, White - Basic Grey DP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Nesties Large Labels, copics, Nesties Ovals, D'Vine Swirl cuttlebug

Birthday Beagle

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Whipper Snapper image. I made this card a few years ago, but it is still one of my favorites, so I thought I would share it here. My friends and I do a group buy from Whipper Snapper occassionally. It helps soften the shipping costs ;-) I used some Basic Grey DP that reminded me of ice cream, hence a birthday. The top, sides and bottom of the mail panel were scored with the Scor-Pal. The main image panel is popped up with dimesionals as are the actual image and another layer with the nose and party hat. The nose has CE on it to create the look of a wet nose and there is also some CE on the hat for a little dimension. And what was the sentiment from you ask?? Why Warmest Regards, of course! LOL

Recipe
Stamps: Birthday Beagle, Warmest regards
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Naturals White, Bayou Blue, Basic Grey DP
Ink: White Craft
Accessories: Prismas, Odorless Mineral Spirits, Scor-pal, Rectangle scallop Nestabilites, Crystal Effects
